Hychico, a subsidiary mainly focused on renewable energy, was created back in 2006, in line with Capex's firm commitment to sustainability.
Hychico has two main objectives: Power generation from sustainable sources and the integrated development of hydrogen as an energy vector, taking into consideration its storage capacity and use as raw material for other purposes, such as "green" methane production (through methanation).
Hychico has developed a wind farm and a plant to produce hydrogen and oxygen from water electrolysis. Our objective is to develop know-how in renewable energy generation and operation and in hydrogen production as an energy vector for the future, and to supplement the use of hydrocarbons in the constantly unmet energy demand both at a domestic and global level.

The hydrogen plant has two electrolyzers with a total capacity of 120 Nm3 / h of hydrogen and 60 Nm3 / h of oxygen. High-purity hydrogen (99.998%) is mixed with natural gas to feed a 1.4 MW generator with an internal combustion engine, especially adapted to operate on rich and/or poor gas mixed with hydrogen.
